Presenter Information

What format should the poster presentations be in? +

The space available for each poster is 45in by 45in (114cm by 114cm). To avoid creating overlap with neighboring posters, please ensure that your poster fits within the allocated space.

I am no longer able to physically attend, can I still present? +

For those giving a talk, you must reach out to info@hsp2026.org in order to discuss potential alternatives. We do not have the infrastructure to support virtual poster presentations.

What if I need a specific presentation time or format due to travel constraints? +

If you have special requests regarding your presentation time or format (e.g., you can only present on a specific day due to travel plans), please complete our Presentation Special Requests Form. This form closes on February 27th, 2026, the early registration deadline.

Venue Access & Location

Where is the venue located and how can I get there? +

The main conference venue is in MIT Building 10—the one with MIT's signature dome—and can be reached from most of MIT's public entrances. The auditorium is on the second floor in room 250.

The most straightforward path is to enter MIT from the main entrance on Massachusetts Avenue (Building 7) and proceed down the hallway until reaching the larger open space that marks Building 10. Elevators will be on the left.

Is parking available? +

There are several nearby parking garages around Kendall Square. We recommend using public transportation or ride-sharing services if possible, as parking in Cambridge can be limited and expensive. For more info on public parking garages, please see Public Parking at MIT or Boston.com's 2019 parking guide.

If I am not a presenter, can I attend the conference virtually? +

There will be a Zoom link available for most presented talks, but we strongly encourage attending in person if you are able to do so.

Amenities & Services

Will meals be provided during the conference? +

Yes, lunch and coffee breaks are included in the registration fee. Breakfast and dinner are not included, but there are many dining options available on campus and in the surrounding area. See the venue page for recommendations.

Is onsite poster printing available? +

We do not provide this directly, but a convenient nearby option is FedEx (across the street from Building 46, where poster sessions will be held).

Accessibility & Other Accommodations

Is the venue wheelchair accessible? +

Yes, both the main auditorium and poster session venues are wheelchair accessible. For additional guidance, please refer to MIT's accessibility map or contact the conference organizers at info@hsp2026.org.

Is financial support available for students? +

Yes, a limited number of travel awards (up to $400) are available and can be requested in the conference registration form. Registration fees contribute to the available funds for travel grants. As a result, in general only participants who have registered and paid the registration fee will be considered for a travel grant. If you believe your situation merits special consideration, please reach out to info@hsp2026.org. Checks for travel grants will be mailed after the conference.

Are there discounted hotel rates? +

No, we do not have any special rates arranged for conference attendees. Hotel recommendations can be found on the venue page.
